Chancel Choir - 10:45am Traditional
Service

The
mission and purpose of the Chancel Choir is to glorify God as one body
through one Spirit.
- To
humbly serve God in a spirit of excellence as ministers of music,
hope and agape love.
- To
lead others into God's presence through praise, thanksgiving and
worship that they may experience the miracles of His love.
- To
continually seek God's guidance that we might always bear the fruits
of the Spirit.
Who We
Are
The
Chancel Choir, with Anne Bay on piano and organ, provides musical
leadership for worship at Pacific Beach Presbyterian's second service.
The choir supports congregational singing and provides special music
with anthems of various styles. Throughout the year, the choir is
also involved in other special presentations including holidays.
The Chancel Choir is open to anyone college age and older who can carry
a tune. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. in the church Sanctuary.
Participation
Interested in contributing to our musical worship? Whether you are an
experienced singer or just like to hum along to the radio, we would like
to have you in our choir. We are looking to add more Basses and Tenors.
No extended time commitment is necessary. All we ask is that you come
with an open heart and willingness to learn.
Do you play an instrument?
We are
currently looking for instrumentalists to do solos, small groups and/or
accompany the choir. If you have a musical gift but not a lot of time,
we want to hear from you. Please e-mail Worship and Music Committee at
church@pbpres.org.
Rehearsal
The Chancel
Choir rehearses every Thursday from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
No audition is required.
